英版「星光大道」- 青蛙變王子一位來自南威爾斯 相貌不甚驚人 自認一向缺乏自信的手機銷售員-Paul Potts 在「英國才藝大賽(Britain's Got Talent)」節目的初賽中 一開口就讓評審先入為主想法和表情 有了一百八十度的大轉變 唱到第二句 現場觀眾就開始點頭 鼓掌叫好 也有人開始拭淚...
音樂讓人情感真實流露 當然 Jerry也隨著Paul Potts所唱的杜蘭朵公主 情緒一發不可收拾^^ 其實 不只是因為他的歌聲及Puccini的音樂 感動人的可能還包含了整個期待的強烈對比：
Paul Potts上台時樣貌平凡憨實 穿著特易購(Tesco)廉價西裝 大家或許並沒期待他能開口唱出什麼樣撼動人的歌劇
但是 演唱一開始 頓時神情投入 眼神專注
演唱一結束 又立刻恢復頭傾一邊的傻貌
另外 評審的表情變化 及觀眾的現場反應也帶動了不少情緒...

初賽 三位評審Simon Amanda Pierce講評英文稿
Simon : You work at car phone warehouse. And you did that. I wasn't expecting that way. (Amanda : Neither was I ) This was a complete breath of fresh air一股全然清新風貌. I thought you were absolutely fantastic.
Pierce : You had an incredible wood. If you keep singing lke that, you'll gonna be one of the favorates to win this whole competition.
Amanda : I think that we got a case of a little lump of coal there that is gonna turn into a diamond.一小塊煤炭即將要轉變成一塊鑽石
Simon : Ok. Moment of truth見真章的時刻, young man. Pierce.
Pierce : Absolutely yes.
Simon : Amanda?!
Amanda: Yes.
Simon : Paul, you are going to the next...
......
Simon : I like shows where somebody isn't a professional, has a talent, isn't aware of it, at a normal job. Then you see something else. I like that....
Amanda: I like to discover a little gem. A frog turns into a prince青蛙變王子.

Pierce : Very few thing leaves me speechless無話可說. you are one of them. Paul, I can tell you. When I signed up to do the show, Remember talking to Simon. We both shared the vision of finding somebody who's doing an ordinary job... quietly have amazing talent and we can provide them with the platform平台 to just show the world what they can do. And you are that guy.
Amanda : You managed to竟能夠 make me cry again.... I don't want to be dramatic戲劇般誇張的. I'm not trying get any kind of sob story引人憐憫的故事 here. My granddad passed away this week. And he would have voted for you, so I vote for you on behalf of him. You are fantastic.
Simon :Paul, you know, I don't know what it is about you我說不出來你有某種特別的地方, but every time you came on, I want you to do well. You just did it again. It was magic.

除了可得到一紙合約 十萬元英磅 還可獲得在英女皇面前表演的機會

Pierce : Paul, I remember your audition every well. Cause I remember, You're coming the stage with that terrible suit and you look nervous. You looked scared even. The expextations were always very low.
I turned to Simon, I remember, ...where I rose my brows挑眉 as you said, opera." I think, " Oh, my God! Here we go."
And then you began to sing, and we just felt the hell is all back.You're up. And it's.......... every time you sang. when you finished that audition, I remember thinking in myself I'd just seen the winner of Britain's Got Talent.
We've seen an incredible ...perform again the same song, I still think we'd seen the winner of Britain's Got Talent.
Amanda : This show's absolutely run me to dry . I felt nothing left. You know, you weren't going back that car phone warehouse. You weren't be on any kind of pay you go You'll be on the contract from Monday.
Simon : You could assume that . But, you know, this is all about wining. And as pierce said ,You story taught everyonoe when you came on. Shy, humble man with an extrordinary talen. I want to give..on this show. I'd love you to win after that performance
